USING 3DL EVERYDAY

200+ schools already use 3DL in the classroom, engaging thousands of students and improving their learning outcomes. 3DL is available for use on MACs’, PCs’ and even Chromebooks (Some conditions apply)

In the Classroom, teachers use 3DL to explain concepts. Some teachers  use the Quiz and Puzzle module to bring about collective engagement. Other teachers use 3DL to spark creativity.

Students can be given assignments through the 3DL teacher console.

Students are encouraged to explore on their own, create their own videos. Some students use this to function to make notes for themselves. Some teachers give specific video creation assignments.

EXPLORE AND EXAMINE

3DL app takes digital learning beyond text, and videos. We live in a 3D world and 3DL app brings 3D objects into the learning process. The 3DL app engages students through the use of 3D models, Stereoscopic videos and 3D animations. Motivating and engaging learners is easier.

A collection of over 900 content elements, most of them using 3D models and animations help students to understand complex topics relatively easily.

Interact with the models by rotating them around and looking at them from all the angles. Move them around the screen at full zoom to see the different parts clearly. You can even take out specific parts and examine them closer.

Understand relationships better. Look at the cross section of a leaf and navigate to the Photosynthesis animation. Related content elements are easily accessible.

Most models are well labelled based on the grade level. Several of the models have explanatory text that the student can read as they are seeing the model

ACTIVITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS

Quizzes, Puzzles and Classification exercises are the most common activities available in the app. These enable to student to easily assess for themselves their knowledge on the specific topic.

Students and teachers can make their own videos using the curated content library. If a teacher wishes to make an explanation video of a particular topic, the app allows them to create a video, save it into their personal library and share it with the students.

Teacher can assign, through the teacher console, specific activities to the students. These could be specific quizzes, puzzles or classification exercises or even ask students to make a video.

MODULES

Modules are programs with the 3DL app. Modules help students and teachers to explore and explain some topics. Solar system and Convex and concave lens are an example of Modules in the 3DL app.
